Gina, a renowned global luxury footwear brand, recognised the need to modernise its retail spaces while staying true to its heritage of British craftsmanship. With growing competition and evolving customer expectations, Gina needed a store design that would not only elevate brand awareness but also engage a discerning clientele in a meaningful way. The challenge was to strike the right balance between luxury and approachability, ensuring the space felt inviting while maintaining an air of exclusivity.

Gina tasked Caulder Moore with creating a retail concept that embodied their rich legacy while addressing the evolving expectations of the Middle Eastern market. The brief required a design that was both bold and functional, enhancing product visibility while encouraging customers to immerse themselves in the brand experience.
Soft and tactile display niches in Gina, Bahrain
The new design features a material palette contrasting polished plaster with textured clay and natural stone, creating a luxurious yet approachable atmosphere. The bold colour palette of blush pinks and greys was chosen to enhance product visibility, offering a refreshing alternative to conventional white or cream backdrops. The store design, with mirrored surfaces and sculptural plinths, creates a dynamic, immersive experience, allowing customers to engage with Gina’s products from every angle. A central seating area with sumptuous curves, creating a defined lounge area, reinforces the brand’s focus on customer service and comfort, and in particular responding to shopping behaviours in the local market where customers prefer to shop in social groups.
Caulder Moore responded to the brief by developing a retail environment that seamlessly combined luxurious materials and modern design elements. The space acted as a brand billboard, reinforcing Gina’s heritage while offering an innovative customer experience.
