Swiss Butter is a highly successful international restaurant design concept with a compelling brand identity.  For its first European outpost – now open in London’s Holborn – our collaborative approach ensured the design fully captured and translated this vision.

Caulder Moore’s dedication to meeting deadlines and their impeccable project management skills were truly commendable. Despite the complexities inherent in restaurant design, they managed to deliver results on time without compromising on quality. Named after its unique ‘secret’ sauce, Swiss Butter is a community-driven brand, akin to a much-loved Diner where a broad diversity of people gathers to enjoy a meal.  The variety of seating offers different dining experiences: high stools for faster and casual; padded banquettes for a slower, more relaxed vibe. The challenge for us was to reimagine the space for London’s fast paced restaurant scene without loosing their original concept or charm.

The tightly edited menu has the authority of ‘the best’.  The open kitchen is a key visual focus, and the bar adds to the buzz. 

Swiss Butter restaurants are welcoming, comfortable and inclusive wherever they are in the world, making every visit an easy, accessible and memorable experience.

Richly textured materials create this restaurant design, including brick and pipework, wood and steel.  The industrial aesthetic is warmly modernised with copper, planting and atmospheric lighting.
